Mike Sinks

Mike Sinks is a former noncomissioned officer in the U.S. Army and current Department of Army Civilian with more than 23 combined years of experience leading military and inter-agency personnel.  Having served as the JSOC Senior Analyst for over eight years, and a total time within the Command since 2005, he brings extensive professional intelligence experience to the JSOC enterprise.  During his civil service career, he has spent extensive time supporting multiple special operations units operating in defense of the United States and her allies in the Global War on Terror.  He has had the opportunity to serve as a senior analyst over the course of numerous tours in multiple Special Operations Task Forces in deployed environments.  He continues to faithfully represent the Command in inter-agency and intelligence community engagements, and is widely respected in both Counterterrorism (CT) and the emerging Integrated Deterrence fields.  He is a proven leader in the intelligence community, having served as a keynote speaker in multiple interagency and Combatant Command CT conferences, with endorsements from multiple current and retired General Officers.

Prior to his civil service career, he served on active duty for five years in the Army as a noncommissioned officer and Signals Intelligence & Electronic Warfare Specialist, with tours to Korea and the National Security Agency.

Mike holds a Bachelors of Arts in History from American Military University and a Masters of Arts in U.S. History.  He has also attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

Mike, though he will always be a lifelong Badger from the great state of Wisconsin, has lived in Sanford, North Carolina for 18 years and has two kids, Ellie (17) and Henry (14), along with girlfriend Meghan O’Malley and her daughter Lily (11).
