Mike Bosco, Day & Zimmermann’s Senior Vice President of Business Development for Government Services. 

Mike Bosco is a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major with more than 20 years of experience leading military and inter-agency personnel. Retiring in 2012, he brings extensive operational experience within the U.S. Special Operations Command, with assignments in the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC), and his last ten years of service in a Special Missions Unit (SMU). During his time in the Army, he also served with multiple Intelligence Community (IC) agencies, deploying as the sole Department of Defense (DoD) representative to forward intelligence operations and special activities focused on Foreign Intelligence Services (FIS) collaboration. His final military assignment was as Troop Commander/Course Director overseeing the creation, development, and execution of DoD’s clandestine Targeting Officer certification program, the IC “gold standard” for deployed Targeting Officer training. This program successfully trained, certified, and deployed inter-agency Targeting Officers, resulting in immediate and direct operational contributions against global threats. A seasoned combat veteran, with multiple tours in the Middle East and Southeast Asia and have received numerous military and IC awards for leadership and performance, including the Director of National Intelligence Certificate of Distinction and the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation. 

Mike has continued to serve the U.S. National Security Mission as an influential leader and executive in the private sector, including his former role as Senior Vice President of Army Mission Solutions/C5ISR for Sev1Tech, LLC. He previously led Business Development for the Emerging Markets Group (EMG), Akima, LLC as Vice President. Other prior roles include Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Ops Tech Alliance (OTA), LLC; Vice President of Business Development at Altamira Technologies Corp; and Senior Director of Business Development at BAE Systems, Intelligence, and Security Sector. 

Mike holds both a Bachelors and Master of Science (both summa cum laude) in Information Technology Management from Touro College and is a graduate from the Yale School of Management’s (SOM) Global Executive Leadership Program (GELP), with an MBA from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. 

Mike has lived in the greater Fredericksburg, Virginia, area for more than 20 years and is married to his wife Melissa, with three children.
